The Home Visit

Bob came and went. WHEW! I seriously had nothing to worry about. The first thing you have to know about Bob is he is the sweetest, gentle, grandpa-ish, guy ever. It is kind of nerve wracking to turn your parental potential into the hands of another; but I feel like we are pretty safe with him.

He just came in and kept telling us what a nice house we have, gave Daren compliments on all of the renovations he has done and on the yard. Sure, feed the man pride Bob.

It is sure nice to have a spotless house. We try to be clean, but tidyness is not always our forte. We are real people with real lives, and sometimes the chores have to wait for other moments. This moment though required a clean house and boy is it nice.

Tuesday we will finally get approved and then get our profile on the LDS Family Services web site.

5 words to describe my adoption heart right this second: happy, excited, hopeful, exhausted, & full.

We are finishing our home study TODAY!

Today is the capstone of our home study process-- the home visit! After Bob comes today, we will have turned in all of our adoption papers and wait for final approval next Tuesday. Then we will officially be waiting. I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I know it will all be okay, but I still feel this way anyway. I have a few last minute things to take care of before he comes tonight so I better get cracking!
